PLS Resident Stars on the Basketball Court
OSWEGO, NY - Premier Living Suites, SUNY Oswego’s prime destination for off-campus college housing, is continuing to recognize its in-house student athletes for their achievements throughout the winter sports season. Senior basketball star Quinn Carey is a native of Point Vedra, FL, who transferred to Oswego after playing basketball at both the Roberts Wesleyan College and SUNY Geneseo where he lead the SUNYAC conference in three point field goals. For the past two years, Carey’s success has not slowed down. He was recognized as SUNY Oswego’s Male Athlete of the Week this past November and started all thirty games for the Lakers this season including in their popular return to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Oswego State Men’s Basketball team advanced as far as the Sweet 16 in the tourney, which allowed Carey to set a new single season program record for a grand total of 93 three pointers made. It was a record that had not been broken since 1997. Residing at Premier Living Suites has certainly had an impact on Carey’s excellence displayed on the basketball court and in the classroom. When transferring to SUNY Oswego, he made the easy decision of selecting PLS as his off-campus college housing choice. “Living at Premier Living Suites has helped immensely in everything that I’m doing,” Carey said. “Having a study lounge, workout room and some of the other amenities we get to enjoy all under one roof made selecting PLS a no-brainer.” Carey added that the owner and property manager of Premier Living Suites have both been very accommodating to him, while also offering a great deal of support towards his academic and athletic efforts at SUNY Oswego. “Greg and Jamie are very friendly and have been so welcoming since I chose to transfer to SUNY Oswego,” he continued. “The staff at Premier Living Suites is very involved and always on-site offering assistance with everything I need.” Located on West Utica Street in Oswego, Premier Living Suites offers a home away from home environment for SUNY Oswego students that is both conducive to learning and balances the suite life.
